The Ocean's Treasures: Gifts Brought by Explorers

Seashells have always been treasures of the sea, captivating explorers and collectors through the ages. As a passionate shell lover and collector, I've always admired the intricate beauty of these oceanic gems. Inspired by this, I envisioned creating a shell shop in a themed environment that would harken back to that remarkable era of the explorers.

In my vision, this shell shop would serve as a celebration of these oceanic gifts, immortalizing the spirit of adventure and discovery that brought them to the world. It would be a place where these treasures from the depths of the sea could be cherished and revered, just as they were by the explorers who first laid eyes on them.

Design Process 1

The shop is situated in a waterfront trade market at a port, with boats nearby, emphasizing its focus on selling international goods from newly discovered places.
The exterior of the shop features numerous shell displays and scattered boxes, reflecting its theme of trade and the sale of a variety of shells. Inside the shop, the main attraction is a large rotating globe surrounded by clocks from different cultural backgrounds, which conveys the international nature of the shop, with shells sourced from different parts of the globe displayed on the shelves.

When I was designing the front view of the shop, I put in extra effort to add more detail to the sketches and conducted thorough research to ensure it was well-planned.
